Meet our new Director of Nursing, Dr. Anjum OwaisiDOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS (January 2012)  | Providence Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Downers Grove is proud to offer our patients the services of Dr. Anjum Owaisi, Infectious Disease Specialist from Advocate Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Owaisi is a life-long Chicago native with outstanding credentials. Since graduating from Rush Medical College in 2001 and earning membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, she has also achieved:

  • Board Certification in Internal Medicine (2004) & Infectious Diseases (2007)
  • MIDC (Metro Infectious Disease Consultant) since 2007
  • Infectious Disease Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center & John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County (2007)
  • Chief Resident, Internal Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine & Jesse Brown VA Medical Center (2005)
  • Internal Medicine Residency at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (2004)

In addition to these qualifications, Dr. Owaisi brings a genuine compassion to her patients. Her knowledge and skill are delivered with a genuine respect that results in optimal care for Providence patients.
