Assisted Living services
| Two levels of care to meet your changing needs
For those who need help with the activities of daily life, Holland Home's Assisted Living ensure safety while preserving dignity. Staff are available around the clock to remind residents to take their medication, to help them with buttons and shoelaces, and to encourage them to exercise mind, body, and spirit. Assisted Living provides the next level of help as your care needs change.

The social atmosphere is just as vibrant, and the opportunities are just as abundant. But more service allows for more peace of mind.
If you think you are ready for Assisted Living services, contact our Community Manager or Director of Nursing for more information. They will be able to help you take steps to evaluate the level of service you need.
You can also take advantage of Assisted Living services on a short-term basis — ask about Assisted Living Respite Care!
Level 1 Assistance
- Emergency response and assistance available 24 hours a day
- Re-evaluations as often as necessary to ensure proper assistance
- Program Director on call 24 hours a day
- Help with arranging transportation and escorts as needed for medical, dental, or
eye appointments (billed separately through your private duty agency)
- Occasional escorting to meals, recreational events, the beauty salon or barber shop
- Educational programs on health and wellness
- Regular monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose
- Coordination with family members and health care providers
- Life-enriching recreational opportunities appropriate to specific needs
- Assistance with bathing or showering up to twice a week
- Prompting with personal grooming tasks (hair brushing, teeth brushing, etc.)
- Minimal assistance with dressing
- Minimal transfer assistance from bed to chair and reverse
- Minimal assistance with toileting
- Disposal of incontinence products as needed
- Assistance with making the bed
- Monitoring dietary intake upon request
- Ongoing communication with and confirmation of medication orders and changes
with physicians and health are professionals
- Communication with family members or responsible parties for medication refills
- Minimal assistance with self-administered treatments such as oxygen, nebulizers,
catheters, glucometers, and inhalers
- Help with reading mail, newspapers, or other written materials
- Orientation reminders
Level 2 Assistance includes all of the above, plus:
- Bathing and/or extensive dressing assistance
- Regular assistance with toileting or dealing with incontinence
- Assistance with catheter drainage disposal
- Assistance with bandage changes
- Regular assistance with transferring from bed to chair and back
- Regular escorts to meals and recreational activities
- More frequent orientation reminders (due to loss of memory)
- Assistance with blood glucose monitoring more than once a day
- Teaching new routines
(Note: Residents with a WanderGuard bracelet are automatically Level 2.)
Optional Medical Services
The following services are available to Assisted
Living residents:
- Medicine distribution (1-2 times a day, or 3+ times daily)
- Injections (times per month vary)
