Water aerobics offer a full-body workout that is low-impact enough for people who suffer from joint problems, arthritis, or muscle loss. At Village Woods, our retirement community in Crete, Illinois, Fitness Specialist Cami Barreto leads classes every weekday at 10:30am. Up to 20 seniors laugh together while stretching, twisting, and splashing in the pool.

We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary for our Senior Fitness™ program. Our SeniorFITness™ program uses Nautilus equipment specially designed for seniors. Personal fitness trainers supervise every session and record every workout, to track your health and safety. Their motto is "Use It or Lose It".

A beautiful setting for a beautiful life. This community once was a Holiday Inn, until 1980, when it became Village Woods. The building in located in the middle of the Fairway golf course, and residents enjoy the large inground pool, along with shuffle board, and get special treatment from the beauty shop.

Village Woods spent a week hosting presentations for Mission Week. Residents and neighborhood friends enjoyed Latin Music, meeting missionaries from Bogota, Columbia, watching mission films and enjoying the week learning. What a way to support the ministry with a local connection.

>> String Fever Trio Entertains
We had the pleasure of having String Fever perform for us. Mark and Paul played two hammered dulcimers (a string instrument with a 2000 year old musical history) and John played the acoustic guitar. Being that String Fever’s first performance was here at Village Woods; it was an honor to have them back. Everyone had a great toe-tapping time with their up-beat songs and fun-loving humor. Afterward, everyone enjoyed punch and cookies in the Blue Lobby.
