Dot & Arthur Groenhof
The first time he asked her out, Dorothy had to turn Arthur down. She already had a date. But Arthur persisted, and a week later they went out on their first date. Less than a year later they were married!
They built a house in the middle of an old orchard and made it a home for their six children. Arthur worked at a number of different companies, and Dot served as bookkeeper for a local coal and gravel company — she’s always been good with numbers!
The most important numbers in Dot and Arthur’s 24-karat life are those that count the things they love most: 6 children, 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 62 years of marriage. They have brought a contagious joy to their life at Providence Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center of Zeeland, and we love having them here!
