Eleanor Spaman
Farm girl. Wife. Mother. Nurse. Providence has led Eleanor Spaman through a variety of enriching life experiences.
She grew up on a small-town Michigan farm, and then moved to Ann Arbor to train as a nurse. Her schooling and natural abilities secured her a job with one of the foremost brain surgeons in the nation. Eleanor had opportunities to travel the country, helping the surgeon perform delicate operations.
She gave up her career to marry and have children, but when her husband died suddenly, Eleanor returned to nursing. Her voice still sparkles when she speaks of her chosen profession — it opened doors for her, provided for her family, and gave her opportunities to serve people in their time of need.
Today Eleanor sparkles in the setting Royal Atrium Inn provides for her. We are pleased to have this gem as part of the Providence family!
