Jeannette Wiersma
School came easily for Jeannette. She seemed to learn easily and quickly, soaking up new information with very little effort. She once took organ lessons by mail — completing each lesson on her own until she could read and play music beautifully. Out of the sheer joy of learning, Jeannette pursued higher education and became a country grade school teacher at the age of 18, in the same school where she had only recently been a student!
It is no surprise, then, that Jeannette would teach herself — at the age of 91 — to access the internet so she could follow her son’s blog. He participated in the CRC’s Sea-to-Sea bike tour, and she followed his daily postings. It’s clear she is proud of his mission and pleased with herself for being able to keep up! In fact, she also kept her neighbors at Royal Park Place involved by tracking his progress on a large map outside her apartment.
Our People
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantlyJOHN 10:10
