Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC)

A Continuing Care Retirement Community allows people to “buy in” at the independent living level, and then move through the continuum of care as they continue aging. At Providence Life Services’ CCRC — Park Place Christian Community of Elmhurst — independent living residents pay an entrance fee, and 90% of that fee is refunded when the resident leaves the community. A set monthly fee covers services, and that fee does not rise even when more services (such as assisted living or memory support) are needed.
