Rehabilitation in Northwest Indiana — have your doctor refer you here —
Sub-Acute Rehabilitation in Northwest Indiana
After your surgery, the hospital social worker might give you a list of places you can choose from for rehabilitation in Northwest Indiana — but you don’t have to limit yourself to their choices. You can choose the rehab that works for you!
That’s what Ardess did
That’s what Ardess Van Prooyen did. She chose Park Place because (1) it had the therapy services she needed, (2) it was conveniently located, and (3) her husband Burt (who no longer drives) could stay with her. When she returned to her doctor for a check-up, he was very impressed with her progress. So she returned to Park Place when she had her other knee done!
“Small House,” big difference
The Park Place Health & Wellness Center on our St. John campus consists of three “Small House” buildings that offer a new style of service. (See our “What is a ‘Small House’” page.) In the largest Small House, we partner with Alliance Rehab (Symbria) to provide sub-acute rehab services for up to 30 people at a time.
Donna Moore transferred
Donna Moore’s doctor referred her to a different rehab provider. She spent one day there and knew it wasn’t for her. When she transferred to Park Place, she says the difference was clear right away. She was welcomed at the door by name, and when she reached her room she was greeted by flowers. Even more important, the therapy got the results she wanted — today she is walking without any assistance!
