Our innovative, award-winning approach to rehab will help you get back to your life. Each patient enjoys a private room, ideal for recovery, and access to our state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym. And when you’re not working your way toward health, you’ll be able to relax in front of our fireplace, enjoy a delicious meal, or relax in one of our welcoming common areas. We want you to feel at home with us, until you’re strong enough to return to your own home.
After an illness, injury, or surgery, your doctor may prescribe a short-term sub-acute rehabilitation stay so you have access to the therapy you need to get back to your life. And many people choose Providence Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center to meet their therapy needs.
We know nothing is more important than the trust between our patients and their caregivers, so Providence is committed to safe staffing ratios, allowing each patient to receive the personalized care and attention they deserve. Our facility consistently ranks among the best-staffed in the nation for both nurse aides and RNs, according to CMS reports.
Joint Commission accreditation is not mandatory for skilled nursing centers, but Providence appreciates the commitment to quality that The Joint Commission’s standards represent, so we gladly apply. We’ve earned the Joint Commission’s prestigious Gold Seal of Approval, along with an additional Post-Acute Care Certification, recognizing our effective care transitions and prevention of unnecessary hospitalizations.
Our care staff, social service teams, therapists, and providers work together towards a common goal of returning our patients to home quickly and safely. Thanks to this teamwork, not only do we consistently earn an Above Average ranking for short-term care by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, but we’ve also repeatedly been named to U.S. News & World Reports’ annual list of Best Nursing Homes.
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. That’s why Providence is certified by Vohra Wound Physicians as a Center of Excellence for Wound Management. Our certified wound care nurse and our clinical team have undergone specialized training to prevent and treat all types of chronic and complex wound and skin issues, reducing the need to send our patients out to wound care centers or hospitals.
We value the hard work of our team members through a supportive environment, flexible scheduling, a generous benefits package, and opportunities to advance their careers. And in return, our employees are loyal to Providence – with a lower staff turnover rate than other organizations in our industry.
In the early days of the pandemic, Providence chose to serve our community by opening a COVID Recovery Unit, where low-acuity, COVID-19 positive, older adult patients could continue to recover and receive rehabilitation before returning home. To date, this unit has served over 400 patients from 4 different states. And we’re still continuing the fight, with COVID-19 vaccination rates for both patients and staff above the national averages.
What truly sets Providence apart is our faith-based, non-profit mission. Our call is to serve each individual “in the name of Jesus Christ,” and we do that by investing in our staff and our patients, not shareholders. With a chaplain on every campus, our patients get the support and encouragement they need.
