Rest and Respite
Many Providence communities offer both Guest Rooms and Respite Rooms for short-term stays — that is, when we have rooms available. What’s the difference between Guest Rooms and Respite Rooms?
A Guest Room is comfortably furnished, and visiting family members can rent one night at a time. The cost is cheaper than a motel, and the rate includes a hot breakfast in the dining room each morning. Guest rooms are equipped with a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee, tea, snacks, and a TV with DVD player.
When you rent a Guest Room at a Providence community, you’ll also get a sense of the social opportunities and caring atmosphere that residents enjoy every day. You’ll meet your loved one’s friends, experience their schedule, taste the food, and hear the conversations. It’s a great way to be reassured that they are participating in life as fully as possible.
A Respite Room is similar to a Guest Room, but the rental agreement includes caregiving, so the cost is generally higher. When you schedule a Respite Stay for Mom, she’ll stay in a gracious private room, and she’ll get three hot meals a day, social opportunities, and personal attention from our staff.
