We took Ruth’s “Party in a Bag” suggestion to heart and brought the Mother’s Day party to Mom in the form of a picnic at Holland Home. Picnic basket in hand, we took a cheerful tablecloth and flowers and sat outside at a picnic table on the patio. We brought her favorite sub-sandwiches, chips, and cookies. Mom was delighted to sit outside again in the fresh air and sun. It lifted her spirits for a week!
