Palliative Care: Compassionate Care Promoting Quality of Life

If you are dealing with a serious illness, you understand the pain and distress of symptoms and treatments. Providence Hospice can help with our Palliative Care program. Our goal is to help you live your life more comfortably.

Palliative care is designed to relieve the discomfort and ease the symptoms you’re experiencing. Unlike hospice care, this does not take the place of your primary treatment. Instead, it works to improve your quality of life during treatment by giving you relief and comfort.

Palliative Care in Illinois and Indiana

While you are receiving curative care (such as chemotherapy, radiation, dialysis, or any other treatment from your physician), we can help relieve your symptoms and side effects. Our Palliative Care team will support you as we offer physical, emotional, and spiritual comfort. Palliative care is intended to make you more comfortable, no matter what your prognosis is.

Our Palliative Program is available in Illinois and Indiana.

Using Palliative Care

While palliative care will help give you relief from pain, nausea, sleeplessness, and other physical symptoms, we also help with improving communication with healthcare providers and family members, including open discussion of treatment options. And, of course, we are there to provide emotional and spiritual support for you and your family whenever needed.

Make a Gift to Enhance Our Services

Consider making a tax-deductible gift to help us provide education to our community and to medical providers about the value of Palliative Care. Your gift helps our staff earn Palliative Care certification and take part in continuing education programs.
