A Royal Atrium Inn Testimonial
Norma Woodwyk was living at a different Assisted Living community, but when her granddaughter began working at Royal Atrium Inn, she decided to make the move there. After all, most of her family lives near Zeeland, which means she could have visits from family all the time.
“My granddaughter just pops in whenever she wants, and I love it,” Norma says.
But beyond the proximity to her family, Norma loves so much about Royal Atrium Inn. A lifelong plant lover, she can’t get enough of the in-house greenery.
“Taking walks through the atrium is the best,” Norma says. “I can just sit there and admire it.”
Norma says the staff is simply the best. She’s a night owl, so she has grown especially fond of the second and third shift employees, who spend so much time with her. “They are my favorites, and boy, do we have a lot of fun here!” she says.
One thing Norma is indecisive about is her favorite meal—because she loves it all! “The food is on top of the world. I love everything. When they serve it, I can’t wait to see what it is.”
Norma appreciates getting the assistance she needs from staff. “I’m 91, and I’m proud of it,” she says. “As you get older, your family wants you to be somewhere where you’re safe. If you need help here, you have it. I’m safer here than I was at home. It’s the best next spot for me to be.”
She loves the musical entertainment, and she joins in any social opportunities she can. “I used to work in a department store, and I loved getting to meet people. Here, what I love best about this is all the people you meet,” she says.
Norma is so happy to find Royal Atrium Inn, and she savors every moment. She says, “This is the most beautiful spot in the world.”
