Rick has worked at Providence Life Services since 2007, including on the corporate development team and as a Community Manager at Victorian Village before coming here to Village Woods in 2013. Before Providence, Rick worked in sales, manufacturing, and distribution, including 14 years building a successful family-owned business. But he came to work at Providence due to the organization’s sincere commitment to serve our elders with dignity and respect. Rick and his wife have two young adult children. He enjoys traveling, especially to see his kids, and he also loves water and snow skiing.
Welcome to Village Woods. I’m glad you took the time to stop by, and I hope you’ll stay for a while and get to know our community better.
I’ve worked with Providence Life Service, the parent company of Village Woods, since 2007. It’s a privilege to work for an organization that truly operates to fulfill its mission. Serving older adults by providing quality services in a safe, compassionate, ethical manner, and then seeing the positive effects on our residents and families, is personally rewarding. I’ve been the Community Manager here at Village Woods since 2013, and I joined a leadership team that is stable, tenured, and who truly care for all those who live here.
Village Woods has numerous assets that contribute to this campus being unique. We do not fit the mold of what a typical retirement community is today. Our setting is simply spectacular, as we are located in the middle of a beautiful golf course. In addition to resident apartments and townhomes, our campus features many unique common areas which we use to enhance our residents’ lives. From small, intimate areas used for reading or Bible studies, to large spaces used for entertainment and the vast array of other activities, the Village Woods campus has it all. We even have a large in-ground pool for our residents and families to enjoy in the summer. Our robust Life Enrichment team always has something fun going on. Our chaplain conducts a number of services, in addition to personally ministering to residents’ spiritual needs.
You see, we’re all family here. This campus is a place where new residents become part of our family here quickly. New friendships are formed with ease, and it’s a place where everyone knows your name. Aside from the amenities and programs you can read about on this site, providing residents and families with the peace of mind that they are respected, loved, and cared for in a safe place is perhaps more important than everything else we provide.
While I know you’ll get a good idea of Village Woods from these web pages, I’d love for you to come for a visit so you can see for yourself how much we can offer you and your family. You can enjoy one of our delicious meals (with plenty of tasty options), stay for a hymn sing, or take an exercise class with some of our residents. You’ll see why this is Retirement Living at a great value, and a place where you can age in place, living life to the fullest.
Throughout the Bible there are numerous examples of how we should treat each other, especially the vulnerable among us. Village Woods cares for those who have physical, mental, and spiritual needs. Jesus calls on each one of us to use whatever gifts He has blessed us with to serve. Our mission statement calls on us to enhance the lives we serve in His name. We are here to meet your needs as we enhance your life.
I know the search for the right place to live can be a difficult one, but I hope that search leads you to us. We’re friendly and helpful, and we’re happy to answer your questions. I hope to meet you soon.
Enjoy Your Visit!
Rick Molenhouse, Community Manager
