Opportunity in Every Step: Verrick Goss’ Career Journey at Providence

VV_Verrick_Goss_blog_Portrait_350x440.pngOver the past 12 years, Verrick Goss has built a career that began in the kitchen and grew into a maintenance role, where he now plays a key part in keeping the community running smoothly. He has embraced new opportunities, adapted to change, and discovered a deep appreciation for the people he serves.

When Village Woods closed, Verrick transferred to Victorian Village, where a new opportunity arose. “They needed help in maintenance, and I was already helping in that department here and there,” he recalled. “I stuck with it, and I liked it.”

For Verrick, the best part of his job isn’t just fixing things, it is the people he meets along the way. “It makes you feel good, working and helping people,” he shared.

Every day brings something different, from routine maintenance checks to unexpected challenges. “There’s always something new to do, so it’s never boring,” Verrick said. He approaches his work with dedication and pride.

Verrick’s story is a testament to the growth opportunities at Providence Life Services. He started in the kitchen, discovered a passion for maintenance, and found himself in a career that he enjoys and takes pride in.

“I’ve been with the company for 12 years now,” he said. “The people here are great to work with, and I haven’t had any problems in all that time.”

Though he currently lives about 20 minutes from Victorian Village, he has moved around throughout his life—from Chicago to Germany as a child, then to North Carolina, Indiana, and back to Illinois.

Verrick’s dedication, adaptability, and positive attitude make him a valued part of the Victorian Village team. His story highlights not only the career growth opportunities within Providence Life Services but also the strong sense of community that makes Victorian Village a great place to live and work.
