Dr. Stemer is the founder of Advanced Care Medical Specialists, a practice committed to the medical care of the elderly. He is a pioneer of home intravenous therapy, ambulatory infusion therapy, has pioneered a program to significantly decrease serious hospital infections, and is a leader in bringing advanced medical therapies to community healthcare.
Dr. Stemer earned his medical degree from University of Illinois School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. He is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease. He holds medical privileges at Franciscan Health Hammond, Franciscan Healthcare Munster, Methodist Hospitals, Northwest Health La Porte, Community Hospital Munster, and Northwest Health Porter.
