Meet Our Medical Director

Dr. Alexander Stemer

Leading our healthcare team is Dr. Alexander Stemer, founder of Advanced Care Medical Specialists. He is a pioneer of home intravenous therapy, ambulatory infusion therapy, has pioneered a program to significantly decrease serious hospital infections, and is a leader in bringing advanced medical therapies to community healthcare.

With a medical degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine and board certifications in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease, Dr. Stemer brings a wealth of experience and a commitment to advancing medical care for the elderly. His leadership ensures that residents receive cutting-edge medical treatments in a compassionate environment.

He holds medical privileges at Franciscan Health Hammond, Franciscan Healthcare Munster, Methodist Hospitals, Northwest Health La Porte, Community Hospital Munster, and Northwest Health Porter.
