After her husband passed away, Pat spent nearly two more years in her house before realizing that she didn’t like being alone, or being solely responsible for cooking, cleaning and upkeep. So she checked out a few places, and then came to Victorian Village.
When she found out that the apartment she wanted was available, she took it as a sign. She moved in to the turret room on the third floor, where on a clear day, she can see the Willis Tower. “They put in a whole brand new, shiny apartment for me,” she said.
