Gary treasures his visits to Royal Park Place to see his mom Donna, but he also loves seeing all the residents and staff who have become his friends over the years. “At this community, as my mom’s son, I’m part of this big family,” Gary says. “I know so many of the residents here. In fact, I just got done having lunch with a bunch of the people here!”…

Norm and Carol are quite active. In fact, Norm still works part-time when he wants to, and they’re both heavily involved in activities in the community, especially Wii Bowling. So why would two active people who really don’t need any help leave their townhome and move to a retirement community? “I was happy living in the condo,” Norm says. “But our financial advisor had mentioned to Carol that we should put our name on a waiting list at Royal Park Place, just in case the time came when we needed it.” …

When the time came that Donna wanted to move to a retirement community, it was clear it would be Royal Park Place. “There was no need for a choice,” Donna says. “I already worked here and I loved it. And what’s better than living at a place that you love?” …

Grace loves all the community has to offer, from spiritual services, to exercise classes, to piano recitals from children in the community. But Grace also plans her own fun. “I play Skipbo at night with four girls here,” she says. “We can do our own thing, too. I like that.” The people she’s met and the friendships she’s made are what she treasures most. “Such a Christian attitude here with the people,” she says. …
